Lead British International School student, Namitra Bwala, has instituted a civil suit against the school, following the viral video released

on the Internet a few weeks ago where she was seen being bullied by her fellow students.

It seeks damages against the school for failing in its obligation to provide a safe learning environment conducive to her. Bwala, in the suit, is praying the court to direct the school to pay her N500 million as general damages for breach of the duty of care it owes her, and its negligent conduct in failing to prevent the assault, torment, emotional distress, pain, trauma and breach of privacy she suffered while under the school’s custody and supervision.

The Edo State government has warned the All Progressives Congress and other political actors in the state against dragging the Benin royal palace and the revered monarch, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has called for a review of Nigeria’s federal system of government, saying it has expired. He said the review would address the nation’s numerous challenges and place the nation on the path of growth and prosperity.

Lagos State Task Force, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, yesterday, clamped down on indiscriminate display and sale of livestock by roadsides, at inner streets and other unapproved locations.
