ActionSA disappointed that National Health Insurance Bill will be signed into law

ActionSA says it is disappointed that President Cyril Ramaphosa ignored pleas to not sign the National Health Insurance Bill into law.

On Monday evening, the Presidency announced that Ramaphosa would sign the bill into law on Wednesday. News24 reported that the bill aimed to establish universal healthcare for all South Africans by abolishing the"two-tier" system, in which the bulk of healthcare spending was made in the private sector for the benefit of the few, while the mass of the population was relegated to the"underfunded" public sector. South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
