LUBBOCK, Texas — Race will no longer be factored into admissions at Texas Tech University's medical school following an agreement with the Trump administration, potentially previewing how other complaints over affirmative action are handled under Education Secretary Betsy Devos. The civil rights office of the Education Department also has ongoing investigations into policies at Yale and Harvard.
I like this new policy and commend them! Let’s stop asking people what race they are. Let their minds be the reason they get accepted. SuSocialWork
You just wait for next generation of doctors being 90% Asian. Hahaha

MeetThePress Here’s the answer to Trump’s “what the hell black people has to lose” question.
The next generation of podiatrists and Regenerative medicine docs just got less diverse. SAD!
Not at all surprised to see that the most vocal supporters of this decision are those who will likely never set foot on a medical school campus unless it’s as a patient. Medicine will be poorer for the abscence of any minority applicants affected by the move.
The new black hole is sucking all the decency out of this country. We are approaching a point of no return.
They are bitter cause they lost the NCAA.

I would prefer a competent doctor.

I'd much rather have future doctors selected on their merits. No admission decision should be based upon race, sex, gender-identity, or any other characteristic seen in discrimination cases.
Progress is dead in the medical field coming out of Texas. Don't not enroll there, go to a real progressive state. One where you will learn so much more from people of all walks of life.
Since race is not going to be a consideration, will money continue to be a consideration? $$$ 💵 💴 💰
Because we all know that race doesn’t factor into life in America at ALL! 🇺🇸🤦🏿♂️

Likely there will be more asians and less blacks and Latinos. White numbers won't change a lot.
This is great news let's end racism and give people what they earn
Good! Rather have the best and smartest of all then follow some random plan for 'diversity'.
The resolution resolves a complaint filed in 2004 against Texas Tech Univ. Health Sciences Center -- the first of its kind under the Trump admin., which last year rescinded Obama-era guidelines meant to promote diversity among students. (2/3)

well BlacksForTrump how do u feel about this one? How much u want to bet the enrollment in Text tech medical school goes down? This is what those who love Trump want... less for minorities more 4 them as if they don't already have every other advantage life has to offer
Great, as long as the question is taken off ALL admissions paperwork and applications!
Race never should have been considered. Admissions should be based upon grades and academic achievements alone.
Race should not be a factor in ANY admission or application. If we are all the same, we just present ourselves as race-less in these scenarios that let others decide from paper.
Good
This is the true tearing down of racist relics from the past
