Body camera video shows a Florida sheriff’s deputy announced himself as law enforcement just before fatally shooting a Black U.S. Air Force airman inside his home.

Cameron Davis was sentenced to life in prison on charges of murder and robbery. Kijean John received a five-year sentence on a firearm theft charge.

In March of 2023, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced the arrests of Cameron Juarez Davis and Kijean Fitzgerald John on charges of murder and robbery in 2023. Davis received a life sentence Tuesday while John received a five-year sentence on a lesser firearm theft charge. JSO responded to Oct. 27, 2022, the parking lot of the Mobile Communications America office, where they located Rivera with multiple gunshot wounds. Police said they began with multiple persons of interest based on evidence at the crime scene at 6609 Commonwealth Ave., and were able to identify the two men after interviews with homicide detectives.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department later pronounced him dead. Police said that Rivera may have gotten into an argument with another person before the shooting occurred. that he served in the Marines for five years. It read:"Julio was a loving husband, son, brother and friend who was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
