“If I mention the wrong word, they’ll come out here and they’ll take me out to a jail someplace because that’s the way it is with this judge. He wants to show how tough he is,” Trump said.The judge presiding over the trial, Juan M. Merchan, on Friday quashed a Trump team subpoena seeking records from Mark Pomerantz, a former Manhattan prosecutor who authored a book last year detailing tensions with District Attorney Alvin Bragg over whether to seek Trump’s indictment.
Trump used Twitter as a primary form of communication throughout his White House years: pushing policies, announcing major developments and attacking foes.
