A man is due in court after being found with a 'knife and hammer'.

Local officers pulled over a vehicle on Glassford Road in Strathaven on Tuesday, May 7.He was arrested in connection with the alleged discovery and he is expected in court at a later date.

A spokesperson for the force said:"On Tuesday May 7, local officers stopped a vehicle on Glassford Road, Strathaven.
