Christopher Gregor, New Jersey dad accused in son’s treadmill death, walked out of ER as medics struggled to save five-year-old’s life: nurse testimony

“We were the only ones with him,” testified Lindsay Carnevale, a nurse at the Southern Ocean County Medical Center who helped treat little Corey when he was brought in on the afternoon of April 2, 2021. Corey was pronounced dead at 5:02 p.m., and less than 20 minutes later, surveillance footage showed his father driving away from the hospital.

Days later, Corey’s mother Bre Micciolo reported injuries the child sustained in the incident to the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency, and the boy was taken to a hospital on April 1. During that visit, Corey allegedly told doctors his father had forced him to run on the treadmill because he “was too fat.”
