Chelsey Schendzielorz had to hang up a call with her dad: ‘I have an argument on my hands.’ Within moments, blows from a crowbar had fractured both her arms

She awoke around 5 a.m., piled into her Hyundai SUV with her fiancé and made the short drive to his work.

“I said, ‘Dad, I have to let you go, I have an argument on my hands,’” she testified in court Monday.The man accused of attacking Schendzielorz in a fit of road rage that day pleaded not guilty at the opening of his trial Monday. At the intersection of 76 Avenue and 87 Street, she came upon a silver Pontiac Wave that was pulled over and blocking her right turn. She honked her horn several times and yelled for the driver to move before he eventually pulled the vehicle forward. The two drivers exchanged what Schendzielorz described as dirty looks as she drove toward her home near 77 Avenue and 85 Street.The Crown alleges Eliasson attacked Schendzielorz with the crowbar as she exited her vehicle.

Sgt. Daniel Wilson, who works in crime scene investigations, donned a rubber glove and removed a 36-inch, dark blue crowbar seized as evidence from a cardboard box. He said the tool had been fingerprinted, photographed and scanned for bodily fluids.
