As residents in the Houston-area did their best to try and avoid getting stuck in the flood waters, local law enforcement officials were still out to protect their neighbors.

Dramatic bodycam video shared Saturday by the Houston Police Department, for example, showed one officer saving a man and three of his dogs near the San Jacinto River.According to HPD, Officer H. Scott heard a man yelling for help in a trailer park near where the San Jacinto River enters Lake Houston.Out in East Harris County. Each time we pass through, we find a few more that are ready for assistance.but roads in the area, which saw a majority of flooding, are still considered hazardous.
