The Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria , Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, on Monday urged heads of courts in the country to put in place a structure that will enhance the speedy and fair administration of justice.
According to the Acting CJN, the courts can be efficient in the discharge of its duties if there is an effective court management system, adding that the National Judicial Policy was formulated by the National Judicial Council in 2016 to put in place necessary strategy to achieve this. Justice Muhammad expressed the belief that the Presidential Implementation Committee on Autonomy of State Judiciary and Legislature will come up with recommendations that will bring about the full implementation of section 161 of the fourth alteration to the 1999 constitution .
