According to the group the number of Police extrajudicial killings and murders by criminal gangs in Lagos within last weeks has raised the concern of CDHR on the security of lives of citizens.In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Henry Peter Ekine, the committee condemned the attack on Dr.

The Committee however commended the swift actions of President Muhammadu Buhari, the Acting Inspector General, Mohammed Adamu and particularly the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Mr. Zubairu Muazu, for efforts made so far‎. The group ‎urged the Police to device measures to stop the baseless killings of innocent Nigerians, almost daily, in Lagos and at different parts of the country, “as if the life of a Nigerian is utterly worthless”.
