An animal rights group says about 30 of its members have chained themselves to equipment at an abattoir in Yangan, south-west of Brisbane.

Last month more than 100 activists descended on a feedlot near Millmerran in Southern Queensland, taking photos and drone vision of cattle.

Agriculture Minister Mark Furner said it was a"matter of urgency", but stopped short of giving an amount for the fines and a timeframe of when they'd be introduced."This will provide a greater access for people to be issued with on-the-spot fines for illegal activities, trespassing and breaching biosecurity on our farms properties.

Just parallel chain them.

Blocking of Melbournes' Swanston/Flinders corner. This is for that horror claimed as live animal shipping of livestock where hundreds and thousands die at sea. Disgusting way for health checked animals to suffer. No More Livestock Shipments. Stop breeding to kill them.

Many thanks to my courageous vegan friends, risking everything to protect helpless animals from the cruelty and exploitation of graziers and their ABC mates.

Unfortunately humans can eat only organic matter whether animal or vegetable. A carrot wants to live every bit as much as a lamb it's just that we find it easier to anthropomorphise cute animals rather than plants.

Tell them to get a job, and leave the farmers alone, it's hard enough for them already.

Oh so here is an idea for the News Media, if you want this to stop (which I know you don’t) stop showing video and pictures just do a quick report on it and move on these groups thrive in publicity and you are giving them everyting they want.

they should be fenced in and not allowed to leave. They are ruining peoples businesses. There is no animal cruelty there so I do not support the activists. lock the activists up.
