The family of an Ohio man who died while in police custody is speaking out for the first time since his death.

and attorneys representing them held a press conference on Thursday condemning the Canton Police Department weeks and calling for justice after the 53-year-old man died in their custody.

The officers restrained him — including with a knee on his back — and he immediately told officers he could not breathe. Five minutes after the body-camera footage recorded Tyson saying"I can’t breathe,” one officer asked another if Tyson had calmed down. The other replied, “He might be out.” Crump, who is also representing Andre Hill's family, called the Tyson's death"George Floyd 2.0." Floyd died in police custody four years ago in Minneapolis after telling officers he could not breathe while an officer placed a knee on his neck.
