A trial began Tuesday for a New Jersey father accused of murdering his child after forcing him to run on a treadmill.

by RAY LEWIS | The National Desk

After you’ve heard and seen all of the evidence in this case, you will be firmly convinced that this defendant is guilty of abuse and murder, because healthy six-year-olds don’t just die during the course of a business day, and neither did Corey Micciolo,” Ocean County Senior Assistant Prosecutor Jamie Schron-Roth argued.

Two weeks prior, Gregor brought Corey Micciolo to his apartment gym and forced him to run on the treadmill, which surveillance footage captured. The child fell several times while his father continued picking him up and putting him on the treadmill, biting his head in the process. I’m gonna tell you right now, you’re not gonna like him, and I don’t care if you like him. When you see that video, you are gonna be horrified. You’re gonna be mortified,” Galluci said. “But, I’m telling you right now that the evidence you’re going to see had absolutely nothing to do with that treadmill.”
