Party denies it is breaking previous promises to tighten up employee rights, with shadow ministers still working on the details

Company bosses will still be able to fire new employees more easily than longer-serving workers under Labour’s overhaul of employment rights, despite the party’s promise to protect against unfair dismissal.has hit back at claims he is watering down his promised package of workers’ rights in the face of intense lobbying from businesses.remain in talks with firms as they tweak the details of the new laws, amid fears that hiring could become harder if employees gain significant new powers.
