The near-drowning and subsequent death of a six-year-old girl and last Tuesday's court inquiry that highlighted lapses from her swimming coach and the two lifeguards present have further strengthened Sport Singapore's resolve to enhance measures to prevent such occurrences in future, its chief executive Lim Teck Yin said.
