In an emailed response to Newsweek, Fox News said the Hunter Biden 'mock trial' was removed 'out of an abundance of caution.'

Fox News removed a six-part series about Hunter Biden from its streaming platform on Tuesday after attorneys for the president's son threatened a defamation suit against the cable news network.The program on Fox News' streaming platform, Fox Nation, was titled The Trial of Hunter Biden. It was promoted on Fox News.

'The letter also reportedly includes a request for the conservative news outlet to 'preserve all documents potentially relevant to the allegations in this letter.' It also states that 'we anticipate that litigation against FOX ... is imminent.'Newsweek has requested a copy of the letter sent by Geragos & Geragos to Fox News.Fox News released a separate statement to Newsweek about the letter it received from Hunter Biden's attorneys.
