CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte, North Carolina, residents who live just a few doors down from the scene of a deadly Monday shootout are in a state of shock after their quiet neighborhood erupted into gunfire on Monday afternoon. The shootout began around 1:30 p.m. Monday while members of a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force were serving a warrant for firearm possession by a convicted felon.
