Sinn Féin's Michelle O'Neill accused Bradley of a 'staggering ignorance of the Good Friday Agreement', after her response to a question on voting rights for Irish citizens

NI Secretary of State Karen Bradley Image: PA Wire/PA Images NI Secretary of State Karen Bradley Image: PA Wire/PA Images SINN FÉIN HAS issued a statement strongly criticising Northern Ireland Secretary of State Karen Bradley, after her response to a parliamentary question suggested that Irish citizens living in Northern Ireland wouldn’t be able to vote in any future referendum on a united Ireland.

“The voting rights which will continue to be enjoyed by British and Irish citizens are reciprocal,” she said. The Good Friday Agreement also contains the provision for the people on the island of Ireland alone to decide whether to bring about a united Ireland in the future. The spokesperson also said it’s “completely wrong” to suggest Irish citizens wouldn’t be able to vote in future UK referendums.

More like a 'staggering indifference' on Bradley's part. Irish issues don't register with English politicians.

She’s as thick as bat shit! The English educational system must be on its knees reflected by the non ability and utter uselessness of their members of parliament in Westminster. The world at one time looked up to the UK. It’s embarrassing to watch it decline so much karenbradley

NiallSF “Wait...so they use a DIFFERENT electoral system?...WOW!!”

Irish voters in The Borth May choose to abstain soon. Instead of voting for absentees.

And the 1922 Freedom of Movement act, which obviously SoSNI has never heard of. She thought Irish Republican voted DUP and Loyalist voted SF.
