Malaysia’s credibility at risk on Rome Statute U-turn, says Human Rights Watch

PUTRAJAYA has put its credibility on the line by taking a step backward on its decision not to ratify the Rome Statute, saidThe New York-based civil society group’s deputy Asia director Phil Robertson said that instead of standing up for justice, the government gave in to pressure from the opposition and certain Malay Rulers against acceding to the Rome Statute.
