PETALING JAYA: The Council of Churches of Malaysia (CCM), which lauded the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) for conducting the inquiry on social activist Amri Che Mat and Pastor Raymond Koh with “integrity and courage”, has urged the government to heed its recommendations.

Suhakam’s recommendations include launching an independent and impartial investigation, providing remedies to the families, and taking immediate steps to clarify and separate the powers of the religious authorities and the police.
