Two accused teenagers to remain in custody for at least two more weeks | SaltWire #newsupdate #newsST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The ongoing battle between former premier Danny Williams and the City of St. John’s over yet another roundabout in Galway went up another notch this week — The Shoppes at Galway, the retail arm of the Williams-led development, is taking the city to court, seeking to overturn the city’s decision.

Williams says the city has to follow the regulations previously in place, the 2013 Subdivision Design Manual, which would allow him to build a signalized “T” intersection instead of another roundabout on Danny Drive. The development did not proceed at that time because it was immediately after the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown and, according to the court documents, the company asked in April 2022 to extend the development application approval.
