Carlos Ghosn, the former chairman of Nissan and Renault, will be in jail until at least April 14

TOKYO—Carlos Ghosn will be held in jail until at least April 14 without possibility of bail, a Tokyo court said Friday.

The former chairman of Nissan Motor Co. and Renault SA was arrested in a dawn raid on Thursday by Tokyo prosecutors. The arrest, the fourth for Mr. Ghosn, was on fresh suspicions of financial misconduct, and came less than a month after he was released on bail.

All members of society have rights. The failure of the Japanese CJS (“JCJS”) to provide universal rights to the accused should not be applauded. We condemn JCJS for its authoritarian Justice. A society in which the governments rights exceed the individual’s rights is doomed.
