A sister of jailed teacher Enoch Burke has been accused of obstructing a Garda during an incident outside the Four Courts last year.
The incident allegedly occurred at Inns Quay on March 7, 2023. The charge is contrary to section 19 of the Public Order Act, which, on conviction, carries a possible six-month sentence and a fine. The offence date coincides with the day her brother Enoch was involved in a legal dispute before the Court of Appeal over transgenderism and his sacking by Wilson's Hospital School in Co. Westmeath.
That prosecution is under section two of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act. A conviction can result in a fine and a six-month jail sentence.
