A Perth man is on trial for murder after he allegedly used a claw hammer to kill his lover, a nurse who was eight months pregnant with his baby.

Hassan W Jabbie is on trial after pleading not guilty to the murder of pregnant woman Janet Dweh.A Perth man accused of killing his heavily pregnant lover with a claw hammer did so because she wouldn't abort his baby, a Perth court has been told.

Mr Usher said CCTV showed Mr Jabbie and his then-wife went to Ms Dweh's house on September 3, 2021, and spent about an hour inside before they both left.Two days later Mr Jabbie sent Ms Dweh a 33-minute voice message where he called her a "prostitute, "harlot" and "disgrace to humanity". Police found a blood-stained claw hammer and pair of gloves containing a DNA profile that matched Ms Dweh's buried at the site)

Mr Usher said it was alleged Mr Jabbie murdered Ms Dweh, then unplugged the hard drive from her CCTV.Mr Jabbie's defence lawyer was due to give his opening address on Wednesday afternoon.
