Justice Isa Abdullahi of the Kogi State High Court had, on February 9, 2024, granted an interim order restraining the anti-graft agency from taking any action against Bello pending determination of the substantive matter. The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra , Nnamdi Kanu, who has been standing trial on various charges, has debunked media reports and insinuations that he dictated to the court the conditions on which to continue his trial.
