The Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, has described as justifiable the judgements rendered by the different courts in the petitions that arose from the 2023 general elections. Speaking in Yola on Saturday, NBA President, Yakubu Maikyau, said the judges rendered justice in those decisions.

'Wherever there is justice, there also is commendation as the people would connect to the justice of the case,' the NBA President said. Maikyau spoke in the Adamawa State capital, where he attended the Emergency National Executive Committee meeting of the NBA, urging government at all levels not to take decisions no matter how good they may seem without first checking the constitution.

' Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, who declared the NBA NEC meeting open, charged the Bar to help sustain people's confidence in the judiciary. The governor who was represented on the occasion by Deputy Governor Kaletapwa Farauta, said, 'I urge you to be firm in reprimanding the few bad eggs in your midst while celebrating those with demonstrable integrity, dexterity, courage and patriotism.
