The U.S. Justice Department on Wednesday accused Alabama's state prisons of violating male inmates' Constitutional rights by failing to protect them from violence and sexual abuse

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Justice Department on Wednesday accused Alabama's state prisons of violating male inmates' Constitutional rights by failing to protect them from violence and sexual abuse.

They ordered the prison system to correct the problems within 49 days or the state could face a federal civil rights lawsuit. The letter was signed by Eric Dreiband, assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, and the U.S. attorneys for the southern, northern and middle districts of Alabama.

The Alabama governor acknowledged the Justice Department's findings and said the state's Department of Corrections had been actively working to fix the issues.

Well, tbh, it is kind of unjust that his case was dropped. The thing is...this type of stuff is pretty much standard procedure in all kinds of governments all over the country. It always has been..I've lived in Chicago my entire life. Most of the time we all just kinda complain and shrug our shoulders.... Since realDonaldTrump has such a disdain for the City of Chicago, perhaps the city should permanently shut down Trump Hotel and condos for code violations.
