A Federal High Court in Kano, presided over by Justice A. M. Liman, on Thursday, April 18, issued an order restraining all parties involved in the suspension of the national chairman of theThe court specifically prohibited Haladu Gwanjo and eight others from implementing the purported decision made during the alleged emergency meeting of the supposed executive members of the APC Ganduje Ward in Dawakin Tofa local government, which took place on April 15.
Na’abba’s order followed an ex parte motion filed by Dr. Ibrahim Sa’ad on behalf of two executive members of Ganduje’s ward, Dawakin-Tofa Local Government Area, the Assistant Secretary, Laminu Sani, and legal adviser, Haladu Gwanjo , who were part of the nine ward executives that suspended Ganduje on Monday.
The order issued by the court presided over by Justice A. M. Liman, becomes effective from April 17, pending the hearing in a substantive suit in the enforcement of the fundamental human rights of the APC National Chairman as subsumed under Section 46 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.The 14 respondents in the case include Haladu Gwanjo, Na Lami Mai AC, Muhammadu Baiti, Danmalam Gale, Musa Lado and Laminu Sani Barguma, Umar Sanda, Auwal Galadima and Abubakar Dauda.
The order said: “That all the Respondents, their servants, agents or privies are hereby restrained from implementing and or given effect to the purported decision reached during the purported emergency meeting of the alleged Executive members of APC Ganduje Ward, held at Ganduje Ward of Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State on April 15, 2024 pending the hearing and determination of the substantive application for the enforcement of fundamental rights of the Applicant.
