iStock By Maria Cook April 1 “I hope I don’t see you back here, when you’re 30, telling me that you have regrets.”

I understood the reasoning, in principle. It’s generally expected that a person’s 30s will be wildly different from their 20s. The thing I couldn’t seem to get my doctors — even the one who ended up performing my surgery — to understand is that most people’s 30s are wildly different from their 20s because most people raise kids during their 30s. With no kids? Not a whole lot changes.

Like many of my child-free friends, I just wasn’t interested in parenthood. It’s hard to explain. Why do I hate the taste of green onions, when most other people find them delicious? I can’t tell you the reason … I can only say that they’ve ruined my loaded baked potato. Most people do experience the urge to have children — since the vast majority of people choose to become parents.

While these things don’t necessarily add up to a better public image for child-free people they seem like a step in the right direction — toward a world where everyone can make the reproductive choices that are best for them with less judgment from others.

Cool bro.

Whatever works best for her is great. It is nothing for anyone else but the person who is electing to have this done.

More Democrats need to follow her example. Dont forget Rose Kennedy.

Get back to us when you're 60

I see so many women (with children) plagued by irresponsible and immature men who are not willing to put in the time or work to have a successful family, leave their spouse for another woman. Why would they want children? The risk is too high, for them and the child. truth 👊

If you don't want kids don't have them -don't conceive. But don't help create a new life and then kill it. If you do the latter, you will be haunted by that decision for the rest of your life.

NPR News: 'U.S. Births Dip To 30-Year Low; Fertility Rate Sinks Further Below Replacement Level.' smart women! 👊 Enjoy YOUR life...

This takes bragging to a whole new level.

Thanks for sharing

I hear young smart women talk about not having children topic all the time, most of them do not want to bring children into this old antiquated corrupt broken system designed by crusty old white men. Smart 👊

Good to know there are others out there who wish to remain childless. It’s never been something I’ve ever desired either. I’ve thoroughly been enjoying being childless in my 30’s. 😎

Smart, I wouldn't bring children into this corrupt world either. What kind of life will they have? Trump? The damage he has done will last generations.

She definitely shags about a lot

Wait till you're 40

Ma'am, this is the cat litter aisle.
