: The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights announced about 1.7 million Palestinians were forcibly displaced inside the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing Israeli aggression, which resulted in the killing of 33,000 people, the majority of whom are children and women.

UNHCR spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani said in a press conference at the UN office in Geneva that “resolving the catastrophic situation experienced by civilians in Gaza must remain a priority”, Palestine News and Info Agency reported. It reported that Israel continues to impose illegal restrictions on the entry and distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza, and that Israel bombed all areas in the Strip.

Shamdasani added: “There are about 1.7 million forcibly-displaced people in Gaza. These people live in terrifying conditions and under constant threat.” She stressed that Israel, as the “occupying power”, must take all measures within its authority to restore order and public security in the West Bank. - WAFA
