Newly released court documents provide new details about the investigation into the disappearance of two Kansas women who went missing in late March while in Oklahoma.

The search for 27-year-old Veronica Butler and 39-year-old Jilian Kelley started on March 30 after the two went missing while traveling to Texas County in the Oklahoma Panhandle to pick up Butler's children for a court-ordered visitation.The two women's disappearance has sparked national attention and led to the arrests of four people — 43-year-old Tad Cullum, 54-year-old Tifany Adams, 50-year-old Cole Twombly, and 44-year-old Cora Twombly.

'The affidavit states that throughout the child custody case, recordings were obtained where Adams' son 'discussed death threats by Adams and Adams' boyfriend, Tad Cullum.'The two children were in Adams' custody when Butler and Kelley disappeared, and investigators confirmed that their father was in an Oklahoma City rehabilitation facility.
