N19.4bn arms funds : Court fixes April 29 for trial of Dasuki, others vanguardngr.com vanguardnews

Former national security adviser of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Sambo Dasuki , speaks with his lawyer Ahmed Raji, during his trial at the federal high court in Abuja, on September 1, 2015. Nigerian prosecutors on September 1, 2015 slapped a charge of unlawful possession of arms against Dasuki. Dasuki was arraigned on a “one-count charge of being in possession of firearms without licence,” Prosecutor Mohammed Diri told the federal high court in Abuja.

The judge adjourned the matter after listening to submissions of all the counsel in the matter on the absence of Dasuki who is the second defendant. Atolagbe said that the prosecution informed the Department of State Services , whose custody Dasuki is of the adjourned date of today for trial.“My Lord, we made all our efforts to ensure the defendant was brought to court. The DSS informed us that the defendant said his case was not coming up today and as such would not come to court.

Counsel for Yuguda, Mr Olajide Ayodele SAN and for Sagir and Dalhatu Investment, Mr P A Abah, did not object to the request for adjournment.
