The electoral umpire said it will wait for the pronouncement of the Supreme Court before taking any decision on the primary elections of the party in the State.
But speaking to reporters in Abuja yesterday, INEC’s Chairman of Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, said the commission was law-abiding. “The party has taken the matter to the Supreme Court and it is only rational and prudent to wait for the decision of the Supreme Court before proceeding.
“We are confident that the Supreme Court will conclude the hearing of the matter and deliver its judgment before the inuguration of elected members of the national and state assemblies.
