The Venezuelan court's imperative to strip Juan Guaido of legislative impunity will not deter his influence as interim President.

Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido is in a power struggle with Nicolas Maduro.

The decision by the Supreme Court – which is controlled by Maduro loyalists – called on the ruling Constituent Assembly legislature to strip Guaido of his immunity could open the way for the opposition chief to be prosecuted.
