Court renews arrest warrant for Nollywood actress over alleged tax evasion | The Guardian Nigeria News - Nigeria and World News

Justice Adedayo Akintoye renewed the order for the arrest following the failure of the actress to appear in court for trial.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the court had, on Jan. 21, given the order for the actress’s arrest following an application made by the Lagos State Ministry of Justice. The prosecution said that the defendant failed to file annual tax returns and pay income tax in respect of her company, to the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service, for six years.
