A Federal High Court, sitting in Kaduna, Monday, convicted Rabiu Mohammed Umar over currency counterfeiting.
Umar was prosecuted and found guilty of eight-count charge preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Spokesman of the EFCC, Tony Orilade in a statement said Umar’s journey to prison started when he was arrested by officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in possession of counterfeit currency notes of N1,000 and N500 denominations.“He had pleaded not guilty to the charges when he was first arraigned on December 14, 2019, thus paving the way for his trial to commence.But in his ruling, presiding Justice S.M.
