Prince William has reportedly been spending time with his mother-in-law Carole Middleton, as he supports his family following his wife Kate's cancer diagnosis

Prince William has reportedly been spotted enjoying a “low-key” pub outing with his mother-in-law, Carole Middleton, amidst the challenging times following the Princess of Wales’ cancer treatment.

The Princess of Wales added that: “As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be okay.”

According to the publication, Kate was absent from the trip, the Mirror reports. OK! has approached Kensington Palace for comment. Alongside a touching collection of images wearing the national jersey, she wrote: “Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.” Over the past couple of days, many social media users shared the responses they received from Kensington Palace on behalf of the princess herself.
