The review application comes after a decision by a seven-member bench of the Federal Court last week to allow the trial to proceed.

A hearing date of April 3 has been set for Najib Razak’s trial on seven charges relating to SRC International.

Usually, an aggrieved party will rely on Rule 137 of the Federal Court Rules 1995, to prevent injustice or to prevent an abuse of the process of the court. “In our view, the Court of Appeal had no jurisdiction to grant the stay, and as such, the order is set aside,” Malanjum had said.A week earlier, the Court of Appeal dismissed Najib’s three appeals arising from interlocutory matters.
