Allen Weisselberg, the former chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, has been sentenced to five months in jail for perjury during his testimony in Donald Trump's trial. Weisselberg pleaded guilty to two felony counts of lying under oath and was unable to explain discrepancies in Trump's financial statements.

But Forbes published an article following Weisselberg's appearance that accused him of lying under oath and suggested Weisselberg did think about the apartment because he played a key role in trying to convince the magazine the apartment was as big as Trump's financial statements represented. In recent days, defense lawyers for Trump and his adult sons have attempted to recast Weisselberg's guilty plea as an act of legal coercion, rather than an acknowledgement of wrongdoing.
