Auctioneer Rob Vogt says he sustained a broken nose and fractured cheekbone in an altercation with an antiques dealer, who says he was only defending himself.

San Antonio auctioneer Robert “Rob” Vogt and antiques dealer Shawn Pickell, who have accused each other of assault during a 2022 dustup, are about to go at it again. Round 2 won’t involve any fisticuffs, though. The two will rely on their lawyers to fight their battle in a court of law.

Nevertheless, the civil rhubarb over the physical altercation is set for a nonjury trial Monday before County Court at Law No. 3 Judge David J. Rodriguez. The court handles cases involving disputes ranging from more than $500 to $200,000.
