The Federal Court has published final submissions from Brittany Higgins in Bruce Lehrmann's defamation case against Network Ten and Lisa Wilkinson.

Justice Michael Lee last week invited Ms Higgins to make submissions in defence of her credibility as a witness, as the evidence in Mr Lehrmann's case concluded after a "Ms Higgins gave powerful evidence explaining her conflicted and traumatised response in the period following her rape," Mr Owens wrote.

Mr Owens argued while some of Ms Higgins's statements at various points were wrong, that does not mean they were dishonest, and she was prepared to accept where she made mistakes in her evidence and other recollections.
