The man, who shares his name with the former United States president Donald Trump, had assault charges dropped in court today.

The 33-year-old was dressed in a blonde wig and a suit with a red tie and had orange tan on his face when he walked out of Downing Local Court today. 

He had showed a stranger his license outside Stonewall Hotel in Darlinghurst and, when she didn't give it back, he allegedly grabbed for it with both hands. "I was on my beautiful Trump plane, so I came to Australia, my beautiful ID with the name Trump on it, it was stolen, the police then charged me," he told media.

"I grab it and the police, they charge me with occasion assault bodily harm, it's a disgrace to our country."
