Is it any surprise that the Lerhmann defamation trial will go into overtime?

Indeed, given that practising Catholics usually give up something, or engage in an act of penitence during Lent, the period leading up to Easter Sunday.Like so many of the players in the long-running Lehrmann saga – before and during this trial – he was finding out that it has a way of dragging you back in. Or dragging on.

It was too much for Richardson: “Mr Auerbach has been dancing in the sunlight for the past two weeks.”staffer, Taylor Auerbach, about whether Lehrmann had been truthful about what he gave to the program as they worked on the interview. And exactly what Lehrmann was paid – whether it was more than the admitted accommodation and travel expenses.

Still, one could be forgiven for thinking Lee didn’t seem entirely convinced the material was as compelling as Ten suggests.
