National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula seeks to prevent arrest interdict as the High Court rules that arrest is the last resort.

The High Court in Pretoria announces it’s decision regarding an urgent plea submitted by National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula arrest has been dismissed.Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula challenge to stop her arrest has been dismissed as speculative, and called unreasonable.

Potterill took Mapisa-Nqakula’s request into account as she pleaded the National Prosecuting Authority’s Investigating Directorate from arresting her. Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula launched an application for an urgent high court interdict against being arrested by the South African Police Service, amid an ongoing corruption investigation.
