FORMER Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department chief Mat Zain Ibrahim today withdrew his appeal against a high court decision allowing an application by Najib Razak to strike out a suit brought by him alleging that the then prime minister had altered the wording of his oath of office in 2009.
Mat Zain’s counsel, Adenan Ismail, informed a court of appeal three-man panel chaired by Dr Badariah Sahamid that his client was seeking to withdraw the appeal with costs of RM2,500.
