John Prior, Chad's Attorney, did a TV interview this week in the lead-up to the trial. Following this interview, Judge Boyce released a non-dissemination order targeted at the attorneys involved in this case. Chad Daybell is potentially facing the death penalty in this case if found guilty, meaning the process to find a non-biased jury is much more rigorous than normal trials. Questionnaires have already been completed by potential jurors who will begin arriving for jury selection on Monday morning.
The order by Judge Boyce addresses a concern that any dissemination of information, evidence, or opinions that could potentially taint the jury pool. CBS2 will be covering the trial of Chad Daybell, beginning with jury selection on Monday, right here on Idahonews.com.
