The law affects teachers, judges, police officers, prison guards, Crown prosecutors and other public servants in positions of authority.
But it contains a provision permitting current employees in those positions to continue wearing religious symbols. Titled, "An act respecting the laicity of the state," the bill tabled today aims to fulfil a Coalition Avenir Quebec election promise. Premier Francois Legault has said the proposal is supported by a majority of Quebecers.
But the plan is opposed by some civil rights groups. Even before the text was made public, one Montreal school board declared its intention to disobey a law that it said would violate the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. In an about-face before the bill was tabled, the government said it would propose a motion calling for the withdrawal of the crucifix from the provincial legislature.
Perhaps as a way of preventing any type of sharia law?
I wonder how fast they will become a part of their culture not religous?

Separation of church and state should not lead to separation of pre-frontal lobes and brain stems. Practical logic: how will they inspect for Mormon underwear of post-2019 non-grandparented wearers? will the grandparented have to sew a 'Pre-2019' badge onto their clothes?
I'm fine with any religious symbols and clothing. Unless it becomes a safety issue. No I'm not talking about chains being caught in machine..I'm talking about full face coverings walking into parliament, on busses, drivers licence etc.
Will this apply to all religions? Or just Christians again? Why are people afraid or offended by religious symbols
