President Ramaphosa officially opens Sexual Offences Court

He was speaking at the opening of the Sexual Offences Court at the Booysen Magistrate’s Court in Johannesburg.

President Ramaphosa also signed a declaration emanating from the 2018 Presidential Summit on Gender Based Violence where women raised concerns over the high prevalence of abuse against women. The state-of-the-art court cost over R240 million to construct. Ramaphosa says despite the best laws in the country, women are still being abused.

Only now is this recognised? Its been a National Crisis for as long as I can remember. Ironically, the fact that it has been 'recognised' for so long (the whole world knows about it, come on ) has comforted me - as St Helena it is still considered very much a 'non-issue'.

How is this going to advance the lives of poverty struck South Africans?

It’ll be another doomed project until prosecutors & Regional Magistrate are properly trained to deal with these matters. It’s a shame to see matters dragging for 8 years & more in our Courts.

Whats the use if nothing happens to your friends who are sexual offenders rampoesa is it only for those who are not in politics

Are you for real? That's commendable!🤗🤗

Are we expecting a perpetual problem? I thought we are bringing GBVF right down to zero? Or will this be converted into a training facility in the very near future? Hmmmmmm

Now work on how police handle sexual offences then we have a good system in place

he should officially open a case against his son as promised...we are waiting

He doesn't mean it...
