The Advance Peoples Democratic Alliance has approached the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court to challenge the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission regarding elections in Rivers State.

In a motion brought pursuant to order 3 rule 4 of the Federal High Court Rules 2009, the applicants are asking the court to initiate a response from INEC and the Attorney General of the Federation regarding a list of allegations against them. Consequently, APDA has asked the court to declare that INEC had no right to have suspended the elections as well as constitute a committee to liaise with only a party in the election.
